If you are copying your moves from your email program then the only setup fields required are Chess Handle and Email Address

What is POP3 and SMTP?
POP3 is the address of your email box. This is where all your email is kept.
SMTP is the address of your Send Email Server. This is how you send email to an email box.

Incoming (POP3) Account
Address of your email box.
This would be the same as listed in the setup of you email program.
Usually has the name of your internet provider included in the address.
Examples:
mail.yourprovider.net
www.yourprovider.com
pop.mail.yourprovider.com

Incoming (POP3) User Name
User name of your email account.
This would be the same as listed in the setup of you email program.
Usually the first part of you email address to the left of the @ sign.
Example:
If your email address is myemail@myprovider.com your User Name might be myemail.

POP3 Password
Password for your email account.
This would be the same as listed in the setup of you email program.
This is the password you selected when you setup your email account.

Your Chess Handle
Name for games.
This is the name the person your playing against will see. The only information your opponent will receive is your chess handle and email address.

Your Email Address
This would be the same as listed in the setup of you email program.
Enter the address you selected when you setup your email account.

Outgoing (SMTP) Server
Address of your SMTP server.
This would be the same as listed in the setup of you email program.
Usually has the name of your internet provider included in the address.
Examples:
mail.yourprovider.net
smtp.mail.yourprovider.com

Outgoing (SMTP) User ID
UserID of your SMTP server.
This is not always needed. It depends on how your provider setup their SMTP server.
Usually the first part of your email address to the left of the @ sign.
Example:
If your email address is myemail@myprovider.com your UserID might be myemail.

Note:
It does no harm to place an UserID in this field. If you are unable to connect to your SMTP server you might want to fill in this field.

Disable Piece Trails
Piece trails show all the possible moves for a chess piece when the mouse cursor is placed over it.
Click the check box to enable or disable piece trails. If the check box has a check mark in it then piece trails will not be displayed.
This only effects your game. Not the person your playing against.

Fast Dragging
Click the check box to enable fast dragging. Chesser performs an alpha blend of the chess piece as your dragging it across the board. Some slower machines may perform this blending at an unacceptable speed. Fast dragging performs a simple checkered overlay in an effort to speed up the dragging process.

Mail Timeout
Enter the timeout in seconds.
This is how much time ChesseR will spend trying to connect to your POP3 or SMTP server. If a connection is not found within the timeout duration ChesseR will abort and display a message stating the reason for the abort.
